About 5-7cm in length

F. curriculum has evolved away from filter-feeding towards a more predatory lifestyle. They are able to burrow like their ancestors, but have taken to tunneling completely through the substrate. Their claws have become thicker, claw-like spikes rather than the comb-like filaments of their ancestors to aid in digging. This lifestyle allows them to avoid being sighted by predators.

They dig through the ground and eat muscals and plorts they find on the way, primarily F. marinesis and D. pluma. They also feed on anything immediately above the surface of the sea floor that they may encounter. They have evolved to be a bit smaller than their ancestor so they don’t have to dig as much material to get around. To find food, they use their enhanced sense of smell to detect particles in the water and substrate.

Like most helids, they are hermaphrodites that breed asexually and carry their eggs around the rim of their shells, which take around 2 weeks to fully mature. The young will scavenge and feed on detritus in and around the substrate until they're large enough to tackle larger prey.
