Filtering Helix
Evolved from H. pessulus that lived coastal went back to the zone 12 due to competition these helix evolved its claws to have spines to filter feed as they originally took on this feeding strategy to save energy and pick up drifting seeds, and over time they began eating anything that would get stuck in their claws, like biofilm etc.
Found in zone 12. They feed on detritus, biofilm, seeds and F.foliumegaus. Then their arms caught something they would put it in its mouth to feed on it. They usually burrow themselves living their body exposed but can easily retract them to the shell if any species interact with them. They can also burry themselves in substrate feed on the detritus or biofilm in the substrate. Their tentacles help push its shell in the substrate or move. They can be found in groups just huddled together filter feeding but also can be found alone filter feeding due to some finding a highly concentrated amount of biofilm and detritus(they do not mind company)
They breed asexually or sexually and they lay and carry their eggs in their shells. When the eggs hatch the babies come out of their parent shell and they feed on detritus and biofilm under the substrate until their big enough to be on the surface. They get up to 5-10cm
