Fan Narr
This narr, similar to its predecessor, the saw narr, is a filter feeder as a juvenile and becomes predatory at maturity.
In this species adults retain their capacity to filter and the capacity of preying on several musculates. This makes them versatile and capable of taking advantage of several food sources.
Another adaptation is that the internal chitin skeleton grows. The narr would molt as usual but now the internal skeleton would grow with the narr. The part that connected the external and internal skeletons gets removed via enzymes, which is what allows it to molt its exoskeleton and maintain its endoskeleton.
As a result of this, the narr can grow indefinitely as long as it gets enough food to survive, grow, and reproduce. They won't die of age which gives them a greater chance to reproduce. They achieve maturity and become full adults when they are around 3 inches long and can reach up to 13 inches.
Prey:
-Microscopic life
-Fish up to slightly bigger than itself
