Evolved from M. electrica that gradually moved to zone zone 16 find more food. They evolved to tolerate freshwater and brackish but babies must be raised in brackish. They became solitary and got larger since there is no competition.

Found in zone 16 they grew up to 35cm(with claws). They are found solitary feeding on T. flumitala, detritus and biofilm. They are not very territorial but will wrestle with each other for food usually ever limbs ripped out due to claw fights. They are also fond of cannibalism but only eat dead carcass of their kind as well as limbs they ripped from fights. They do not store electricity anymore due to the lack of predators and R. electra in the zone.

when breeding they will mate then travel to the mouth of zone 16 carrying their incubating their eggs(up to 70-150 eggs, only 5-15 survive). When eggs hatch young would hop off the mother to fend for themselves gradually travelling upstream to freshwater.
