Duocerus pluma

From OurFoodChain

Not larger than 4 inches across (frond curve to frond curve)
It ensnares small invertebrates with it's two sticky fronds, and pulls them towards its mouth in the center of it's body. It's buried in the ocean sand, with only it's fronds and mouth being visible.
Small spines line the fronds in an effort to deter larger predators. The spines hold no toxins.
D.Pluma are observed to completely ingest their old fronds, growing new ones to replace worn-out fronds.
The fronds are rarely asymmetrical, though they may vary in colouration and mature length.

Found in temperate reefs
