Ancestor: H. rotundus
Zone(s): 3
Size: they are around 2ft in length and 20lbs in weight
Reproduction: they spawn around 20-30 fry and provide no parental care. The increased amount of eggs produced is due to their increased size but the eggs have not increased in size so they can produce more eggs. The young grow as a constant rate until they reach maturity at 3 years of age, three times faster than their ancestor
Food/Sustenance: they have evolved to feed on the large taxonomum of zone 3 like T. Megafolium and magnideus

General description: due to their diet of giant polyphs their body size has increased dramatically allowing them to better evade predation as they take advantage of the giant kelp-like racomitrium in zone 3 as all the organisms feeding on it are small so rotundapiscus has evolved to better take advantage of this extremely large food source. This allows them to better fight off predators like therolamna by being too big to prey upon, they also have a larger stomach which allows for them to eat more food further fueling their large bodies, and allows them to conserve heat and as such have a higher metabolism to allow them to reach their larger size to begin with.unlike their ancestors they travel in loose groups of varying sizes from 5-10 unrelated individuals. this trait came about in response to predation as solitary animals were easier to prey upon than animals in groups and they also travel together so if one spots a predator and bolts so does the group. The reason groups aren’t larger is due to not wanting to be over crowded. They have become countershaded in order to hide from the large marine wyverns they share their habitat with and the countershading allows them to blend into the background by hiding their self cast shadow but they still have a twinge of green
