A hard-shelled decomposer that lives in zone 28. It feeds on the corpses of G. lastimosa as its primary food source, as well as decaying H. jenpia by releasing enzymes into the water that break down their food so it can be absorbed. They grow as long cylinders that flare out at the tops off of the rocky outcrops. Their main stem is a deep pink color, and the ends fade to a vibrant orange. They reproduce by fragmentation. Their flares will occasionally be split off and re-cement themselves into the corpse of a G. lastimosa. After this, they grow to their maximum height of 4 inches with the nutrients from the body, and then they will survive on the decaying segments of H. jenpia growing around them. They will also begin to fragment at this size.
