Challenge: Right now, we are lacking biodiversity potential. Of the 5 kingdoms of life, (Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera), we are lacking 2. Fungi and Monera (prokaryotes). If anybody would like to create a common ancestor species for these 2 kingdoms, please submit them. Requirements: Must be VERY simple, this will be the common ancestor for a whole kingdom, so they must be basic and allow for much further development They must not evolve from anything. These are the first of their kingdom, they didn't descend from anything. Start in one zone, just like everything else. (the real life kingdoms are just an example, they don't have to exactly conform to the real life kingdom requirements) |

Musculata: 115 species Polyphyta: 66 species Palaea: 7 species Synaplota: 2 species The challenge is to evolve new genera from existing species in Palaea and Synaplota. Everyone is allowed two submission one for each kingdom. This challenge will be open until 1/28/19 12am UTC. This will be a democratic challenge and everyone can cast upvotes/downvotes on all submission. The top two submissions for each kingdom will be added. |

Evolve a new species in any of the freshwater zones (14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 31). Everyone is allowed 5 subs. This challenge will go until 5/19/19 12am UTC. All subs will be reviewed by NSS. Just as a reminder challenge subs do not count for your daily subs, these are essentially bonus subs to fill up empty zones or niches. |

| A Little More Order | Ctenolepisma | Evolve a new species in an order with no more than five species. Everyone can sub 4 species. Once the challenge ends everyone can choose one of their species for voting. Whoever wins the vote will get one free sweepstakes dispersal.

| Well Rounded | Ctenolepisma | Evolve an organism with radial symmetry. You can submit up to 5 evolutions for this challenge. The challenge will end 9/22/2019 12pm UTC. After the challenge ends each submitter will choose one of their submissions for voting and everyone will vote which one was their favorite. The winner of the voting will will get to choose one organism that will be immune during the next extinction.
We are doing things a little bit differently this time around. The challenge is posted and pinned in #challenge-submit to reduce the number of channels and keep the server clean. |

| Creature Feature | Squidy | Halloween is this week! 🎃 To celebrate, this week's challenge is to create a Halloween-inspired species. The species can be inspired by Halloween iconography, popular movie monsters, or just be plain creepy. State what inspired you as part of your submission.
As usual, each submitter can pick one of their submissions to use during the voting period. The submitter that gets the most votes will get a special gotchi item: A necromancy stone, allowing a dead gotchi to be revived. The deadline for this challenge is the end of the week, November 2nd. |

| decay exists as an extant form of life | Ctenolepisma | Evolve decomposers in zones that need decomposers (Zones 1, 4A, 5A, 6, 7, 8, 8A, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, H1, I, I1, J, O, and Q). Any zones that lack appropriate decomposers by the end of this challenge will be wiped and treated as uninhabitable to all organisms except pioneer species. Appropriate decomposers means a zone needs to have organisms that decompose all other types of organic matter on a microscopic level. The challenge will last 2 weeks ending on Saturday the 23rd at 4pm UTC. | Tell me a little about yourself | Ctenolepisma | The clades of Oefsy are lacking descriptions. Until 1/30 12pm UTC you can submit descriptions for any Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, or Genus.
You will earn 2 Vesicles for each new description and 1 Vesicle for each rewritten description. For every two descriptions you write you may give one common name to any group you have written a description for during this challenge. Common names must be approved by an NSS. There is no limit on how many description can be submitted. All descriptions submitted will be reviewed and edited before approval. As a reminder the Vesicle shop is pinned in #challenge-chat. |
