Evolved from M. gulperious that breached zone 3. They developed larger lobed fins and more muscular tail to jump up and catch their prey.
Found in zone 3 and reaching up to 3 feet long they hunt by launching itself out of the water to catch prey. They prey on A. neofoundus, A. thalassomoloch, young R. rostrus, baby G. gigas, S. devilosis and A. urioportus. They launch itself with its large long muscular tail and large muscular fins to launch itself. It can launch itself 6 feet in the air however they prefer to hunt wyverns when their floating on water or diving but when they learn to fly high thats when they jump to grab prey. They can also ambush prey in the water hiding in substrate or vegetation. They live at the surface of zone 3 but however it rests in the bottom when digesting food. When breeding males and females will pair up and lay their eggs in the substrate up to 150 eggs but only 2-6 survive. When the babies hatch they eat smaller fish like O. brycomi and when they turn subadult they turn to the diet of wyverns and bigger fish. Both males and females are brownish bottom to dark blue at the top as a counter shading to ambush their flying prey.
