Evolved from V. acrotyrannus, they developed to hunt larger prey like Rostrocerovenator species. They began hunting in larger groups and grow larger to overpower their prey. Vibration sensitive mechanoreceptors are localized on either side of the head to allow V. acrotitnus to better detect its prey.

Found in zone H they get up to 2.5 feet long. They travel in packs of 2-5 tracking prey. The air sac in their hump regulates heat and allows them to swim in the deeper parts of the swamps by giving them buoyancy.

They hunt A. aboriginii, A. edselom, A. oculus, A. tridactylus, P. tridentus, R.gigas, R. letaligibbas,K. rectadontas, R. parvus, R. vagarium, S. lutumandrus, S.spinagatorus, S. spinaspinus, T. katharagnathus, V. acrotyrannus, V. spinaquarius, and V.tigerstripus. They usually pick off old, sick, and younger prey. They will usually chase down their prey and encircle them. They will bite and scratch their prey to death. They are typically less succesful when hunting larger prey, succeeding about a third of the time. They deflate their humps while hunting to get more speed and balance.

They tracking their prey using their senses of sight, smell, and now hearing. They will wrestle other members of their species to establish territory and dominance.

Their colors are green to brown with a pale underside, males have a lighter green colour while females are more brown.

When breeding during spring males will have brutal fight for females instead of wrestling they display their strength by biting and slashing each other. It can injure the males extremely and occasionally results in the death of the loser. Once a female accepts a male they mate and in the following week the female would build a nest to incubate her eggs. In 2-3 weeks their 10 eggs hatch and they are fed by the mother and are taught how to hunt at subadult in which the mother will chase them off to fend for themselves.
